It was all over the papers for the entire next week, and the week after that.
"You're bloody famous, there, Princess."
Oddric limped into Aelita's study and slapped down the day's London Times. Aelita barely glanced at the splashy headline- something about the police warden being fired- before pushing it away and continuing to write. Her cousin sighed and leaned closer.
"What are you working on now? Classes are almost over for the break."
"It's not for the school."
"For the paper then." Odd raised an eyebrow when Aelita shook her head. Sighing again, he angled his head, trying to read upside-down.

When the five victims were brought in, the whole hospital went into an uproar.
"Ages 24, 26, 25, 27 and 25-"
"The fire master said there were more people in there-"
"This is all we have."
"Are they part of the kidnappings?"
"Shut it and stop spreading rubbish!"
Nurses raced about, doctors barking orders. There had already been other patients, mainly from the factory riots, but these new five patients were different.
As they peeled bloodied clothes away from skin, a thought slid from one nurse to the other as they bandaged their patients.
"It looks almost like they've been tortured..."
"The girl in 3 is burnt the worst. It looks like she wa
